Pumpkin vine shadows
clinging to pink stucco wall—
jack-o-lantern ghosts!

Clawing for sunlight
cornstalks cast darkling shadows
against garden wall.

  1. It’s nice to see photos of what’s growing in the garden! I think I would be clawing for sunlightlike the corn.

  2. What marvelous shadow shots! Really crisp and clear! Happy SSS!

  3. twobarkingdogs

    Wonderful! Thanks for sharing.

Please stop by and say hello, and check out my shadow shot!

  4. Corn chowder to come
    When stalks reach maturity
    Mmm can I have some?!

  5. shadows stuck to a wall – lovely

  6. Love the corn. We have a volunteer stalk growing below our deck thanks to the feed the squirrels and birds drop below. I will have to go check for shadows next sunny day.

    Thanks for the visit.

  7. gardens gold and green
    nature’s fruits are abundant
    thanks, i’m hungry now :)

  8. such perfectly crisp & summery shadow shots!

  9. Thanks for your beautiful poetry on my comments – and on your blog. It’s lovely.

  10. Love your haiku and all of the haiku remarks…fun shadows!

  11. You have enough room to grow corn? I’m soooooooo jealous! Superior Snaps, buddy…

  12. Jack-o-Lantern Ghosts! I like it.

  13. Love your crisp garden shadows.

My folks used to grow pumpkins and corn plus all sorts of other fruit and veg. I just love fresh from the garden, so sweet! My school friends looked at me a bit funny when I’d munch on beans for morning tea though.

  14. Marvelous shadows
in your garden … tall green stalks
… soon corn on the cob ;–)

Thanks for visiting my Shadows at Sacred Ruminations. I have to log out from WordPress to change the link but would rather not.
    Hugs and blessings,

  15. Magical Mystery Teacher. . . The shadow photos are great. We had a neighbor who used to ‘borrow’ our pumpkin blossoms in order to cook them for her husband. So – needless to say we never had any pumpkins. I thought last week’s shadow photograph of the pipes was really clever.

  16. As always…love our haiku – very fitting – we liked “it’s job never done”!! Love your shadows this week – the ivy is just a gorgeous picture, and the corn makes our country girl hearts skip a beat!! Have a lovely week!

  17. Your shadow shots are great and so is your haiku!
