Great shadow shot and great words, as always!
Enjoy!
Sylvia
I always appreciate your visits, Sylvia. Thank you for your faithfulness in stopping by.
That’s a really cool shot! Relaxed & cas.
They were cool kids!
Love how the shadow captures the arms slightly away from the body! And adore the haiku!
Thank you, Gemma. I’m always amazed at what the camera sees that I don’t until I look at the digital image more closely—as you have done. Thanks for pointing it out!
Great perspective in your SS–I ALWAYS enjoy your visual and written art. Keep up the great work.
Thank you, Scrappy-Gram, for your encouraging words!
Try to go faster
But behind you I remain
Your shadow buddy
Thanks, Molokai Girl. I like your words as an accompaniment to my photo!
well written words…and cool SS!
Thank you, Whiz Kid. I try (not always successfully) to marry words and photos so they go together coherently.
Me and my shadow! I do like the half-in half-out figure crop.
Actually, Margaret, this image is straight out of the camera. I was going to delete it, because I thought it was trash—and then I saw the shadow! (By the way, I never alter any of my images; it just doesn’t seem right. What you see is what I saw—or rather, what the camera saw as I fumbled to get the picture that I thought I really wanted.)
nice image, I like the splash of orange for contrast
It is a brilliant splash of orange, isn’t it? Thanks for stopping by, Crafty Green Poet. I’m traveling today, but will “saunter” over your way when I am able.
I like your shot!
SSS greetings from Cairo, Egypt!
From Cairo! How fascinating! Thank you for coming for a visit, BLOGitse!
MMT, love the combination of the shadow shot and the haiku! thanks for visiting me for SSS!
Good to see you here, Mary, as always. (I do love your gigantic green glasses and your even more gigantic smile!)
Village boys errant
Make shadowy footprints of
Flip-flops on gravel.
Indeed they do, Jazzbumpa!
I do try to reconnect with reality, now and then.
Your haiku on my blog last week inspired me. I’m going to put one with my SSS each week, and leave on here too, if I have my wits about me.
Cheer!
JzB the words and music trombonist
You seem like a witty person, so I’m sure you’ll have your wits about you!
Kewl shadow shot with the perfect title and Haiku. Like you, I love discovering the unexpected in my photos ;–)
Hugs and blessings,
Thanks for stopping by, Storyteller. The unexpected adds some spice to life, does it not?
Great shot and description…
I hope you have a great week ahead!
~Really Rainey
Thanks, Really Rainey. It was one of those “accidental” shots that turned out to be worth keeping.
I would never have known what a mule was without that picture. Well done.
How clever. I love just the glimpse of the kids, with their shadows cast behind.
I also love you haiku comments! They’re like little gifts. Thanks!
It is those so-called missed shots that sometimes turn out so well!
Have a great week.
this seems to be a good meme..i wish to join soon..thanks for sharing!
