Shadow-furrowed stone,
waiting in the woods alone,
Raven worships you.

  1. Looks like a posing pinguin in my eyes rather than stone. Silly me, analysing shadows §;-)

    Cool shot this week, Maam…

    Happy SS…

  2. Beauty she knows not
    Sitting there majestically
    But beauty she is

  3. Interesting shot! Perhaps we should be more careful in the wood if we met something like this! ;-)

  4. that’s a stone with character, it looks almost heart shaped…

  5. The immovable rock seems stern and cold. Yet its place in nature is welcomed, at least in the realm of shadows. The lighting changes make this rock a work of art…

  6. Lovely shadow shot! Love the stone — this is one with a personality of it’s own, soft shades of color make it quite unusual! The light moving about does give it a beauty of it’s own. Wishing you a lovely weekend!

  7. Happy SSS-
what beautiful soft shadows on that rock.

  8. A lovely rock shadow!
I was in Nanaimo in 08 but never got there! Will have to make sure we do next time!

  9. At first, I thought this may have been a sculpture of a discarded heart! A heart tipped over on its side! A heart of stone? And the play of shadows adds so much beautiful character to the rock! Lovely!

  10. A heart shaped stone – what a great shadow shot!!

  11. This stone looks like a great big heart, the heart of Nature perhaps!

    Nice catch!

  12. Lovely shot and as always, great words!!! Gena @ Thinking Aloud

  14. stone is a wonderful canvas

  15. an interesting shot!!

  16. It might take eaons
    When the heart-stone ponders with
    Paleologic.
