that’s a stone with character, it looks almost heart shaped…
The immovable rock seems stern and cold. Yet its place in nature is welcomed, at least in the realm of shadows. The lighting changes make this rock a work of art…
Lovely shadow shot! Love the stone — this is one with a personality of it’s own, soft shades of color make it quite unusual! The light moving about does give it a beauty of it’s own. Wishing you a lovely weekend!

I was in Nanaimo in 08 but never got there! Will have to make sure we do next time!
At first, I thought this may have been a sculpture of a discarded heart! A heart tipped over on its side! A heart of stone? And the play of shadows adds so much beautiful character to the rock! Lovely!
