Shadow Shot Sunday: Conundrum
Where will they lead me,
tracks in snow? When I get there,
what more will I know?

We think this story must continue….we are so curious now!
Ah, no one is more curious than I about how the story continues. The poet in me has piqued the curiosity of the adventurer in me!
Good question!
*Yes, I seem to be rather good at asking questions. It’s the answers upon which I stumble!
*
Each shadow on the side of each track leaves a shadow not unlike a range of mountains. It is a function of our perspective that a small detail could appear much bigger in our imaginations. At least this snow is not impassible…
A ridge of mountains? Ah, you DO have a vivid imagination, Ralph!
Ah, great shot and a great question! Been asking that one myself for years! Have a great weekend!
Sylvia
And in asking the question, Sylvia, have you come up with any cogent answers?
Maybe they will lead you home, where it’s toasty warm.
If so, you will know there’s no place like home.
I’m trying to think warm because I’m really cold right now.
Tracks to lead me home…what a comforting thought–especially if there’s a blaze in the fireplace!
I just hope at the end of the line awaits me a very nice place. Sun, sand, blue water and a masseuse §;-)
Wonderful shot.
Happy SS…
A masseuse at the end of a snowy track? Now there’s a comforting thought!
That’s lovely!
Family Bonding Shadows
Thanks, John. I think so too!
An interesting shot!
Those who are alert can come up with all kinds of interesting shots. Thanks for stopping by, Anne.
“Where will they lead me,
tracks in snow?
When I get there,
what more will I know?”
For starters you’ll know
where those snowy tracks end.
After that, could be mountains
for you to ascend!
Sorry for my crippled poetry…
Hope it doesn’t offend!
Your poetry isn’t crippled, Cassie! It makes me smile. Thank you!
Great shot!
Princess Shadows, have a great weekend!
Oh, I don’t know about “great,” but it surely is fascinating! Thanks for your visit!
You will sure the heck know not to go out in the cold…they look like miniature mountain ranges, a rift in the Earth’s crust perhaps…but cold any way you look at it!
Yup, definitely cold! Brr!
What a great shadow shot! Love your haiku as well.
Thank your for your kind comment, Beverley!
I want to walk along the tracks and find out!
Alas, the snow has melted and the tracks are no more!
Now I want to take a walk along those tracks! When the tracks end…the walk is over! This is such a great post!
“When the tracks end…the walk is over!”
So the trick, Carolyn, is to find endless tracks. Right?
Good question …. lovely shadow shot!
Do you have any idea how to answer the “good question”?
Love how the embedded tracks create interesting ridged shadows! Great shot!
They *are *interesting shadows, aren’t they, Gemma? And just think: They no longer exist–they vanished with the melting snow!
tracks always make me want to travel
wonderful shot
Maybe we’ll meet each other along the way!
Tracks in the snow are a grand adventure that comes only once. For when it snows again, there will be new tracks and new paths to explore.
New tracks. New paths. I like that concept, Helena! Thanks for visiting me!
And where did they tracks take you, MMT? Over the river and throught the woods? Ha!
I’m still on my way, Mary!
I would be tempted to follow those tracks…Great ss!
Yielding to temptation can lead to, uh, interesting outcomes!
oops, I hit send without finishing…sorry! You captured cool textures here too (no pun intended).
A paper artist would notice “cool” textures, wouldn’t she?
Is that another set of tracks at the top of the frame? It’s a lovely picture & does make me want to follow the tracks!
Ah, yes, it is another set of tracks. Now making up my mind is even harder: Which set to follow? Decisions, decisions!
Marvelous in all respects!
Hugs and blessings,
Sacred Ruminations
Ah, may we always marvel in small things!
I know where they lead, magic mystical one,
The tracks lead to nowhere ‘cept shadow shot fun!
Hey..why does my rhyme sound like Dr. Seuss?!
Great shot.
They lead me to nowhere,
These tracks in the snow?
If you haven’t been there,
Then how do you know?
