Very interesting photo!
Thank you, Freda. I appreciate your visit!
and i have chased many of those looking for greenier pastures in my day!! i love this!!!
Those greener pastures are quite elusive, aren’t they, Robin? And yet we keep chasing them…
Cool shot…suggests all kinds of stories…
Perhaps that should be my next project: writing a story about the beast that escaped through the fence. Thanks for the suggestion, Tom!
The cattle, who hate to be fenced in, see their chance to escape! Too bad they just ended up on somebody else’s ranch…Don’t fence me in!
Yes, Ralph, one fenced area leads to another fenced area leads to another fenced area…
I love it! And it does suggest all kinds of stories. Great words as always! Enjoy your weekend!
Sylvia
Alas, now that I am finally getting around to replying to you, Sylvia, the weekend is nearly over. Can’t someone invent four- or five-day weekends?
Beautiful shot, lovely composition.
Thank you, Rajesh. I try for unusual angles when I shoot, but I don’t always succeed!
This appeals to me, as I like old fence posts (strange, I know!!)
You have a thing for old fence posts? Are you a displaced farmer?
Paz
Your little wink says it all, Paz! Thanks for your faithful visits!
OOPS! Repair needed!
Mending fence must be one of the most thankless and boring jobs on a ranch or farm. Thanks for stopping by, EG Wow!
Get away or comming in?

Well, Birgitta, now that you mention it, the animal could go either way, couldn’t it?
Looks like a fence from NM! I wonder what got out…something HAD to get out with a hole that big.
Great capture!
Or maybe, Molokai Girl, just maybe, some uncommonly huge explosion from who knows where blew a hole in the fence, and no beast has discovered the escape route yet…
A hole in the fence?
It doesn’t make sense.
Did the cattle walk?
If they could only talk!
You are on your way to becoming a Couplet Master, Patti V.! (Or would that be Couplet Mistress?)
I like this.
How kind of you to stop by, Christine, and admire the view!
Love it. Great Capture.
Don’t you have “holey” fences in New Zealand too? Or is this strictly an American phenomenon?
Where do you come up with all of these…you are amazing & a quick thinker/haiku master
Love your shadow & the angle (not to mention that beautiful blue backdrop!!) Have a lovely weekend!
What can I say? Sometimes things come together in just the right way! Thanks for your visit, Summer Kitchen Girls. It’s always a delight to have you visit.
That looks really nice, inviting, even with the wire fence all tangled.
I’m sure the hole looked inviting to the cattle too! Thanks for stopping by, Wanderlust.
Lovely plain of shadow beneath the fence post in contrast with the radiant blue of the sky!
That radiant blue sky is something the Southwest is known for. I’ve never seen it anywhere else, Gemma. (Or maybe I CHOOSE not to see it anywhere else!)
I wonder what got away? And if it was better after!
Don’t YOU feel better after you get away, Sallie?
Beautiful photo. I love the composition and the space that remains on the right side.
Have a great Sunday!
Yes, just enough space for more beasts to slip through! Thank you for your visit, Anka!
What a remarkable rural scene – barbed wire always reminds me of growing up around fences …
So…barbed wire makes you feel at home, Clytie?
The photo and your words give me the urge to run.
To where?
What an awesome shot, makes one conjure up all kinds of tales of the unknown escape artist(s).
Have a great day!
There’s always the possibility, Sweet Repose, that after “they” investigated the greener pastures, they came back home–you know, like Bo Peep’s sheep!
Who let the dogs out?
Or were they Jerseys, Guernseys
All ruminating?
Masterful, Jazz, just masterful!
Blue sky with white puffy clouds make a perfect combination with the old & rusty fence & that thing §;-) sowee don’t know what you call it.
Happy Sunday,
/chie
Thanks for your visit, Chie. Sometimes I don’t know what to call things either!
lovely shot.. and love the idea of the getaway!! Have a great week .. Julie
