  3. I like the shadows cast by the tree and there are shadows like eyebrows over the blue windows.

  4. how delightful.

    Happy SSS.

  5. I wouldn’t say a mournful blue – the monochrome structure is stark in its off-white hue. The blue trim seems not enough, yet the blue transforms the wall to stark to hopeful in the sky blue. An oversized effect from a tiny bit of blue…

  6. Again we share a common bond of the unknown, yet enjoy the beauty of the writing on the wall…have a wonderful weekend!!!

  7. Lovely shots of the shadows. So pretty.

  8. Lovely. The tree shadow is cool, but the blue trim makes the shot.

  9. ‘Tis true the blue
    gives the visitor
    more to view

    (I try, I try)

    why are the songs mournful?

P.S. I just love the poem you penned for Tracy’s kangaroo photo.

  10. I like it. For whatever reason, it made me first think of a bird house. I don’t know why. But, your image has a certain sweetness for me.

  11. I like your interpretation of this scene.
    Happy SSS to you.

  12. Neat haiku about this photo. Do the winds on the desert sound like mourning? I didn’t know that, if they do.

  13. Super photo, and as always excellent words!

  14. Beautiful picture, Mary. The soft blue and cream colors make it. Another combination with the shadow would not be so effective, I think.

  15. Oh, that is just lovely. So peaceful and serene.

  18. Love the shadows veiling the eyes of the house.

    All those deserted people,
    Just singin’ the blues.
