Old Wall
Scarred by desert sun,
old wall greets weary pilgrims
when their journey’s done.

your perspective in this shot is perfect
You are still fueling my desire to head south to Tuscon sometime soon!
Such befitting words for the site. It is an amazing place and I’m glad you continue to share all its beauty with us.
I like to think of sitting there in the warm sun, too! Terrific capture as always, love your composition and your words as well! Enjoy your weekend!

That’s a mighty impressive bit of old wall!
The wall offers more than fall protection – it offers some style as well, from the scroll on the side and the teardrop openings along the face of the wall. It looks beautiful under the sun, with lovely shadows as well…
Brilliant haiku…
weary pilgrims welcomed by the old walls on finishing their journey…
Very well thought
It’s a lovely old wall, it looks like it wants someone to lean on it and ponder the vistas beyond.
That is the prettiest shot! Wouldn’t we love to have some scrollwork like that out on the patio….along with that wonderful sunshine!
What a beautiful old wall! I love the soft redish/beige against the clear blue sky, and the perspective is fabulous. And I am always impressed by your Haikus
Now with your fine shots of the White Dove Mission you’ve enticed me to plan a trip back down to Tucson. Haven’t visited it in years, so I think January will find me there! A very nice ShadowShot.
one of my favorite places in arizona….
thank you for taking me there.
never stop!
I like the photo.
Have a good day, Boonie
Your posts, when I get a chance to visit, are always perfection.

Stop by if you can.
beautiful image and haiku…I can imagine resting here in the light, feeling the holiness of the journey.
Can this weathered wall,
In it’s ancient holiness,
Hold back desert sands?
Cheers!
