  1. No please don’t – I want to gain my own power ;)
But I like the window as art and culture :)

  2. A dad shows us strength by his very being, carries us and gives to us values and a sense of right and wrong. He carries us when little, and imparts the strength we will need as we carry our own children. Beautiful stained glass and an even lovelier subject!

  3. Beautiful, softening frame shadows round this glorious image!

  4. Gorgeous shot.

  5. Very nice. I just took some shots of an old church in San Antonio (San Fernando church) last weekend. Heavy doors, beautiful stained glass, gold adorned altar–very beautiful church. Love the haiku, as usual. Mickie

  6. Wow. To the poem, I mean. OK, and wow. to the image of the stained glass window. It’s the kind of thing that makes me take a few steps back with my mouth gaping open in amazement.

  7. Beautiful painting…piece of art…
    Have a good week ahead!

  8. Beautiful window shot! The shepard window as I call it has always been my favorite in any church.

  9. The shadows do make a great frame of this beautiful image. I see it walking with you.

    Peace

  10. Beautiful window, and this is a great shot of it.

  11. forgive my very late arrival. haiku my heart began with beauty and turned on a dime with a severe fever keeping me in bed for days.
i am so weak but thought i would try and at least let a few more know why they have not heard from me.
thanks for your understanding and your beautiful haiku.
    carry me too, please!

  12. Great capture. I’ve really been enjoying your Mexico photos.

  13. It’s a magnificent photo and the caption is an excellent reminder of who to call on when things are a bit rough as well as when things are going well.

  14. I love stained glass. Beautiful!!!

  15. Your haiku is a good fit for this stained glass image of St. Joseph carrying the young Jesus over the rocks. Joseph is generally considered the Saint of Families as he represents a father figure. I wonder how it’s displayed in a Church of the Immaculate Conception which usually shows Our Mother with angels. Maybe it’s the family concept; I like that. And your haiku says, “Look, I may be the Son of God, but I’m still a vulnerable small child, and you’re a strong stepdad. Very nice!

  16. Beautiful stained glass ShadowShot. I implore Him too!
