A Wednesday Threesome

original

To cut your losses,
not wasting time on regret—
the way of wisdom.

~~ ~~ ~~

Gentle summer rain—
how can it endanger me
or bring harm my way?

~~ ~~ ~~

Lift your pen at dawn—
you will avoid the hazard
of the silent muse.

    I’ll be back!

the last is so true .. and if you hear it thunder dont go under a tree.. those wont be pennies from heaven, but, possibly this summer, hail and lightening! stay safe.

  3. Ahh… I especially like the third one.

  4. If you lift your pen at dawn does that mean you were working all night? all three haikus are excellent

  5. Now I know why your photos and haiku are early a.m. offerings! as for regret, it’s one of a number of wasteful emotions…..

  6. I like the first stanza MMT! There is an element of learning through mistakes. It’s a wisdom not to lament mistakes. Life must go on! Great set of haiku, Ma’am!

  7. I love that last one!

  8. true wisdom ~ I don’t think it can; ~I prefer dusk

    a very nice ensemble!

  9. Lifting your head early, great advice. No harm in this summer rain. Lovely.

  10. lift your pen at dawn.. very nice

  11. Avoid the hazard of the silent muse…I love it!

  12. My favourite is the first, especially the line “not wasting time on regret—”

  13. Even though I can relate to the first and the third, the middle one is my favorite.

All good advice! I like the way you split up the prompt.
