Three holy teachers—
the absolute maximum
for perfect wisdom.

muffled thuds and thumps—
walnuts fall to forest floor—
holy harvest song

When you are weary,
nestle in a sacred text—
quilt of holy words.

‘Quilt of holy words.’ This explains wonderfully the feeling I get when I sometimes (foolish though it may appear) hug my Bible.
