  1. Mary is indeed evident in the cemeteries down here in the Southwest. Great shot! The words scream at me to remind us that the Mother of God will harbor us forever.

    Peace

  2. there is a sorrowful sweetness here…
    in your haiku.

  3. Oh, this is really a lovely, lovely haiku – so full of comfort.

  4. You always have such striking and powerful images from everywhere! I find it astonishing. Not to mention your endless creativity in composing just the right haiku to go with it.

  5. Lovely words,stunning photo……….thank you!

  6. their sorrowing.. yet the picture seems so festive, hopeful, happy..

  7. an image of such great paradox, similar to the nature of life itself.

  8. Heartfelt photo, and haiki to match. Very lovely I think.

Oh, and no, they better not track me down. I’ll hide! :)

  9. I tried to imagine what you would write before I looked at your haiku…
you are impossibly unpredictable. You say so much with few words♥

  10. Cemeteries are places I visit when traveling because I find them sacred spaces as you obviously do. Great photo and haiku.

  11. Interesting that all the other resting places are white and this one has a coat of coral paint. Such a color blast!

  12. I love to go to cemetaries to take photos of stone angels. Your photo of these tombs and your haiku ….omg!

  13. The coral tone of the tomb is quite enchanting! Beautiful photo!

  14. Oh, I just love these wonderful wreaths against the cold concrete slabs of the tombs. Wonderful photo!!

  15. I am always astonished by the drama of a Mexican cemetery whether here or in Mexico. They are each like little shrines to the interred one; a place to sit and visit for a while.

  16. Quite a special, and extraordinary picture!
