Three Breaths

original

The dance and the feast
will backfire on the hostess,
so the weird guest says.

~~ ~~ ~~

In Pandora’s box
lurked creatures to embarrass
and harass the world.

~~ ~~ ~~

To tell good stories,
you must have a taste for words—
sweet and bitter, both.

  1. Enjoyed them – especially the last.

  2. Excellent work! Strange, my poem this week is almost a commentary on your first one. Something about the word choices also made me think of an uncomfortable party!

  3. Good stories … and you tell them perfectly :-)

  4. lovely stories told her and they all go together.

  5. You served up a 3 course treat!

  6. Great use of three words. Please read my attempt.

  7. This set of haiku is so telling. The last is especially pertinent to writers where emotions must be used like sauces in a meal.

  8. Very well done! I love the last one especially!

  9. Enjoyed each haiku in the set, but the last one edges out the others…

  10. I like all 3 …. the third is my favorite.
    Thanks for sharing.
    Peace,
    Siggi
