School year’s over—it’s sittin’ time!

drifting to the bench,
easing down to meditate—
honey on her tongue

  1. Summer vacation from school is called in Hebrew “chofesh” which literally means “freedom.” Hoping you will enjoy yours to the fullest.

  2. I can feel the warmth, Teacherman. Rest well deserved.

  3. Enjoy your quiet time. Sit long enough and you won’t be lonely.

  4. Sounds like so much wonderful time! Enjoy every second of it!

  5. I like this bench with its weathered wood…with the desert in summer so hot, this bench would be great to either start or end the day – our daughter works in an elementary school, and agrees that eight months in a classroom is hard. You have earned more than a few days of well earned rest…

  11. oh my gosh- extraordinary shadows! Nice catch!

  12. Bold and determined lines there. While your year may be concluded, I am still struggling with mid year report writing. I shouldn’t be here now.

  16. The quality of the shadow is very crisp and dark. I am ready for brilliant sunshine. Seattle is finally getting some sun and we so appreciate it.

  17. What an inviting spot for pondering…:)JP
