Nicely observed. But the good news is that they are in step. Their arms are swinging together. And together they are casting a very interesting shadow.
They appeared to hold hands but they’re not!

aha! i second the motions of both annie and miranda! (hmmm, interesting topic! )
I’m not sure I’d ‘see them’ as lovers since they’re not really that close…it’s the angle, right? But are they ever in sync with their stride!!!! Cool photo.

I vote for married, too. Great shot with the shadows. And as always, some nice words, too.
The shadow tells it all and they don’t even know! It is puppy love at a mature age!
Please note how each has his/her hand ready to touch and hold, just a teasing, tempting, inch or two away.
Makes one want to go do that like them! 🙂

Perhaps a bridge of communication could be built? But that usually risks the heart, which — though already at risk — doesn’t want to take the chance of losing what it has.
