SkyWatch Friday: Wasteland

Cloud-cover rising,
wasteland in mourning—somewhere
children are laughing.

Thanks, J Bar! The lonely, wilderness places offer many inspirational sights for photographers and writers.

  2. Beautiful sky and lovely words as always! Have a lovely weekend!

Thank you, Sylvia. Actually, I’m going to have a rather hectic weekend…but we won’t talk about that! 🙂

  3. I like your haiku.
& why is this a wasteland? am I taking this too literally?

I like how the cloud is peeking over the land in your photo.

  4. Those rocks and dull grasses on a gritty hillside certainly create a sense of wasteland! And the sky of blue suggests perhaps children laughing with happiness may still be somewhere! A very sensitive haiku!

  5. Such a pretty bright blue sky. I love that.

  6. Nice composition and haiku.

  7. I could get lost (quite literally) in this amazing photograph and your beautiful haiku 😉
    Hugs and blessings,
    Sacred Ruminations
