Watery Wednesday: Water Wheel

Sing a song of lumber,
Coming from the mill,
Lumber for new houses,
Built upon a hill.

Sing a song of lumber,
Fresh and fragrant green,
Lumber from the sawmill
With a forest sheen.

Sing a song of lumber
For Chemainus town;
Hear the hammers pounding
Up the streets and down.

  1. Wonderful mural beautifully set in a garden feature! Fascinating shot!

  2. This is a spectacular post! The photo’s great, and I love your poem. You’ve so perfectly captured the beauty that makes BC such a wonderful place for us to live!

  3. Great mural – love the way it is integrated instead of just on the side of a building facing a parking lot.

  4. I wonder if these water mills have past their retirement age?

  5. A pocket full of rye…..

Nope? Well, it’s a charmer of a song you posted, and the mural is super too.

My Watery photos are about the ‘disaster area’ in town during a day long rainstorm. Click Here if you’d care to join me today with your visit.

  6. Lovely mural and words to go with it.
