When I cannot sleep,
holy ones draw near to me,
bearing words of life.

  1. It’s like, after the nativity, they all gathered for a group photo.

Just like when we Heifer Ranch volunteers finished the two nights of our Living Nativity for the locals, we would pose, feeling a bit like the holy people of our costumes.
(As the donkey trainer, I always had to be Mary on the donkey.)

  2. i guess i have insomnia, too. i’m going to bake some cookies. i agree with above comment — that looks like they gathered for a group photo. i like it! 😉

  3. i stayed up far too late last night.
    i am up, preparing for this day…. albeit, S L O W L Y.
so when i arrived here for your “encore” and saw this photograph,
    i burst out laughing!
i needed a group cheering section today,
    and you have delivered!!!

thanks for the holy family, i think you have launched me on the right footing!
