  1. I want to step right in to this image!

  2. beautiful art thoughts today, Teacher.

    Happy Friday !

  3. This is great looking through the shadow into the light.

  4. What a blue, blue, blue cloudless sky! I was thinking it looked a bit like the architecture on the Grand Canary Islands.

  5. bravo on the stunning haiku!
and the photo???…take me i am yours!

  6. This is a marvelous picture. The sky is a gorgeous blue and you’ve centered the lamp between the two domes in the background. Very well done.

  7. Wow! Gorgeous capture you got! And thanks for dropping by mine! 😉

  8. Mine ought not to go out, because many hands make light work….

    Have a good week, Boonie

  9. Exquisite as always. Your style this time reminds me of Rumi, one of my favorite mystical poets.

  10. Jane at Levant

Beautiful shot through the archway – with so much action captured – thankyou for your posting on my blog – have a great week – Jane

  11. Intriguing haiku, and I love it! The photo is marvelous too, love the dark entree and the blue sky behind it. Fabulous!

  12. The heart remembers well when the light goes out, and is able to bring wisdom from the wellsprings!

  13. What a terrific capture! Love that blue sky and your haiku is always beautiful and intriguing! Hope you have a great weekend! Enjoy!

  14. Reading in the dark can be altough challenge. I suppose those that walk underneath here would do well to memorise that passages when the light is actually working…

  15. darkness counterpoint
to blue skies and lantern light

  16. I like this one, and there is the cathedral again!

    • magicalmysticalteacher

Yes, the cathedral is at the center of everything in Zacatecas. It’s just about impossible to get away from it!

  17. A terrific view through this archway! Nicely captured.

  18. This is such a dramatic shot! The absolute darkness against the light of day. The curving architecture, the stark lamp out. And when we’re totally alone in the dark, will we capture our own thoughts and feelings, be afraid, remember reading those proverbs? Very enigmatic and magical, MMT~

  19. A beautiful haunting question in your haiku complements the delightful shadows in your photo!

  20. I love going from shadow to light with you, MMT. Very cool shadow shot!! And dramatic, as Margaret said.

    Enjoy the weekend!

  21. Good cadre and photo, too.

  22. I can’t think of having consciously read any, I use plenty though.
    Love the photo.

  23. Beautiful picture, and thought provoking words.

  24. Such a dramatic shot! Love the way darkness highlights the buildings and blue sky!
    Love your haiku!
