Tomorrow

Number the rooftops,
count them one by one—will they
still stand tomorrow?

  1. holy cow!
it’s so easy for us to forget the rest of the world!
    thank you!

  2. What an interesting sight. That is a very congested area with that many roofs. It is nice seeing how others live.

  3. This reminds me of the headcount our teachers did in school to keep the class together!! The picture is wow and looks like any place here in Mumbai considering we rank 2nd on population count after China !!

  4. Cool view, great pic !

  5. That is certainly a different sky line than we are used to seeing. the sameness of the colours of the buildings id almost comforting, though.

  6. I read this as being really sad. All of those homes, all of those people could be gone in an instant.

  7. I work where much of the surrounding area is still flooded. My question is (especially since it is raining again) will the houses still be there tomorrow.

  8. Oh wow! What a thought provoking question! Each time I read one of your Haikus I am not disappointed.

  9. These days you never know! Good picture for your words.

  10. Lets hope they continue to stand. The picture makes me mindful of how fortunate I am.to live where there are not such severe weather and floods.
