Winter grips my heart—
autumn’s hourglass trickles out
leaf by leaf by leaf.

    Absolutely!! Time is running out for Autumn and Winter just peers around the corner!!
    Love the repetition in the last line, gives a feel to the Haiku!!

    A wonderful haiku, MMT! We could watch the remainder of your leaves falling. [Here our leaves are just now starting to change color to reds and yellows. And some don’t change or fall.]
