One Leaf

Darkness of winter,
are you strong enough to quench
even one leaf’s joy?

  1. Hi!
Awesome macro! Lots to look at in this picture. Have a great day!

    Food for Thought

  2. Always kind of bittersweet to see snow on the autumn leaves at the turn of the season, luckily it hasn’t happened here yet but I’m missing the colors of autumn already…seems everything is turning brown so we will all be happy to have the white covering it soon enough. Really pretty leaf! Smile today. 🙂

  3. love this one two…I mean too:-)

  4. Beautiful picture and color of the leaf. Fits well for my dark days in north.

    Thanks for your visit.
    Regards from Norway

  5. What an awesome turn of emotion from the first line to the last. Well done in the 5-7-5 format. I enjoyed this very much. The colors of autumn are indeed joyful.

  6. Beautiful detail and bokeh!

  7. Lovely macro photo ~ perfect for RT ~ thanks, namaste, Carol (A Creative Harbor)

  8. Beautiful….love the visual of this, the color, the veins, the textures.

I do hope you’ll stop by to visit with me.

  9. Winter may be on the way. However this leaf is still beautiful, its rich red hue thumbing its nose at the cold days. It will happen, but the foliage is going out with style and class!

  10. Cool. Short but deep and beautifully written… 🙂

  11. AWWW
    Finally something short and sweet!
I like the simple style with the 4 12 narrative.
The 1st line captures beautifully your influence and the next 2 carry it further into a web of intrigue and adventure before finally finding the light.
Did you use a Cannon ELX with 20x zoom or the ONynx 350 with the tri-quarter?

    Excellent job!

  12. This haiku is especially beautiful and is a wonderful accompaniment to the leaf. Your pictures and poetry are superb. I really do enjoy reading your words and viewing your images. genie

  13. That lonely leaf makes a very nice sight.

  14. I am perusing Ruby Tuesday – to see what it is about!! Another great shot!!

  15. Beautiful pic & poem !
