A Trio of Haiku and Senryu

I tug the rein left,
he chooses another way—
my deviant horse.
~~ ~~ ~~
Minuscule blossoms
sprinkled among the tall weeds—
I almost miss them.
~~ ~~ ~~
littering the wall
trivial little scribblings
doomsday graffiti

  1. Again, haikus reign. I’ve been thinking in the 5-7-5 form for so long now that it is second nature to me. Often phrases spring fully formed. My poem took nine lines too, though connected into one story. It’s a great discipline. Keep them coming.

    once again .. well done!

  3. wonderfully written Haikus great use of the prompts.

  4. Nicely done threesome.

  5. Oh, you gave me the idea…three haiku..linked to each other… well I am going to try MMT.. you have done so well here…

  6. I like them all, especially the line “doomsday graffiti.

  7. Nicely MMT, this works as three seperate pieces or as one connected progression, but you already know that. So, good work!

  8. Love the image of your second haiku. Brings back the “stop and smell the roses” message.

  9. Clever writing; enjoyable reading. Thanks.

  10. Cool take on the prompt- I love the phrase “doomsday graffiti”.
