A Wednesday Trio

original

How could I forget
my dependence on the words
that give life to me?

~~ ~~ ~~

In a secret place
she kept one stick of incense
for emergencies.

~~ ~~ ~~

The bedclothes rumple
beneath my restless body—
old cockroach hotel.

  1. A set of stunners.Must always have incense. The third one reminded me of a 3rd class journey at night on the sleeper train from Malalysia to Bangkok. Really very very good stuff.

  2. Nice work! I especially like the first one.

  3. What interesting haiku you’ve written. You’re very good at these!

  4. daryledelstein

Old Cockaroach hotel would make me run not just twist the bedcovers

  5. Excellent! I love them all! My favorite is the first one! As without our words we would not be writing.
    Blessings
