  1. I’m sorry for your loss. I know it still hurts, but she’s in a better place and is probably smiling down on your right now.

  2. Sorry for your loss – the pain doesn’t go away, does it?

It is a family birthday today and we have been remembering Mom – her absence leaves a hole.

  3. Yes, MMT, and you won’t forget that date. I know you still miss her, there is just a lonely feeling when a person doesn’t have a mom any more.

  4. So very sorry for your loss, both of my parents are gone too, and it certainly leaves quite and empty void. You never forget the day, or their birthday…thank heavens for our memories and the knowledge that we must keep those around us now close to us….making one memory after another.

  5. It’s easy to empathize – losing both parents, eleven years apart makes for the feelings of loss. We learned from them, values and not so great things. We realize that we are of them, for worse but for mostly better too. This loss, like all others. never really leaves us, the pain subsides mostly but never, ever the memories…

  6. I am so sorry; we never stop missing them, no matter how many years they have passed ūüė¶

(six years in December for my mom)

hugs to you; I hope there was a bit of joy somewhere in your day today

  7. This orphan fully empathizes…

Yes, orphan. Both of my parents are gone too. It’s sort of weird being an adult orphan–don’t you think?–even though it’s perfectly natural. Still. It’s. Weird.
