‘Time to Say Good-Bye’ X 6

Photobucket

Time to say good-bye
to lonely, lovely places—
city streets for you!

~~~ ~~~ ~~~
Time to say good-bye
to all the wasted gardens
and their withered blooms.
~~~ ~~~ ~~~

Time to say good-bye
to birds hidden in the bush—
one is in your hand.

~~~ ~~~ ~~~
Time to say good-bye
to broken loaves and fishes—
seek another feast.
~~~ ~~~ ~~~

Time to say good-bye
to secrets locked in attics—
smash the wooden trunks.

~~~ ~~~ ~~~
Time to say good-bye
to all the weaving women—
warp the loom yourself.
