Heat Turned Up

Coconino National Forest
Fire in the distance, Coconino National Forest, Northern Arizona

With the heat turned up,
forest crackles and sizzles,
all the wild things flee.

  1. Those wildfires certainly are scary. I hope you are safe.

Thank you. This one is actually many miles from where I live, but as I passed by it today, I just had to stop and gawk. It certainly didn’t seem to be as bad as the recent one near Colorado Springs!

  2. “Crackles and sizzles” certainly brings home the feeling and sounds of the forest fire.

  3. Fire Season is such a tragic time when the flames take off and threaten lives. I grew up on a forestry station in Oregon. My father was gone from the first day of the season to the beginning of winter. I love the color Red…It’s my favorite…except, when it comes to red flames.
Thanks for this poignant post, my friend!

  4. Hope these can be controlled in future !!!
