Some people embrace
the religion of fences—
a constricting faith.

  1. I’m remembering a Robert Frost poem. “Good fences make good neighbors”, from Mending Wall. The one in your photo seems more like a barrier, yet isn’t that the purpose of a fence?
    Good stuff!~

    More Peace

  2. Nice shot n interesting Haiku

  3. Interesting photograph and haiku…

  4. {{ i am fascinated
    by your fascination
    with fences
which i feel are Resting Places
between the past & the future,
between the here & the there,
    the Now to embrace
    on …

    so far
no one has taken a pot*shot at me,
    so far … }}

  5. that garden looks in need of tending .. that fence is keeping in the weeds .. 😉

  6. chuckle! wonderful fence pic…

  7. LOVE fences, open gates…and you.

  8. I would never want to have my faith constricted.

  9. Fences are better than walls perhaps? Interesting photo and brilliant haiku.

  10. This is a amazing haiku … and so true … religions surrounded by fences. They all have their own rules … one world religion would be better. Thank you for sharing on Carpe Diem.

  11. Not a truer word spoken, I know, I’ve been fenced in! x

  12. A great photo and a clever haiku.

  13. A little bit of different styles of fencing here. Such an interesting shot. That structure is definitely fenced in! genie

    The religion of fears, yes.
I don’t like fences, I don’t like walls, but sometimes they are necessary…
Deep haiku. A constricting faith is not true faith. Faith is Truth and truth makes people free.
Have a nice weekend and thanks for sharing.

  15. Made me smile and yet, i am drawn to these collage of fences, i find it pleasing even if it is restricting.
