In the Reading Room

In the reading room,
a girl chooses a drab book
from the lowest shelf.
~~ ~~ ~~
In the reading room,
three ancient volumes pulsate
with dark runic rhymes.
~~ ~~ ~~
In the reading room,
she finds a tiny tendril
curling round one word.

  5. That last image makes me smile!

  6. Beautiful–something about that first one is a little sad. I feel sorry for the poor little book, forgotten on the bottom shelf. Finally chosen!

  7. So many images of the reading room … the first one is my favorite !!!

  8. A reading room is high up there on my wishlist, I could live there forever…

  9. Nicely, I wonder what that word was?

  10. I want that word that the tendril is curling round. It is so great to find a word used in a different way to stimulate your senses.
