  1. The holybell must be ever so successful! I’ve heard that it never rains (or presumably, mists) in California.

What you’ve heard is not true! San Juan Capistrano is reasonably near the coast, so fogs do roll in from the ocean. And, believe it or not, Southern California has a rainy season: winter. If there’s rain at any other time, it’s an anomaly.

  2. as the mist rolls back
    tininabulation peals
    more clearly still

  3. and so it dissipates, sound gently tearing the mist… beautiful.

  4. Very picturesque…I can almost hear the sounds with the weather getting more and more clear…

  5. A mild weather indeed.. Here mist will linger.

  6. aloha MagicalMysticalTeacher. cool photo. i like the sense in the haiku that “mist” might also mean tears. aloha.

  7. Nice photo, a great post for the “Sky” theme!

  8. with your final line, the tune and words of “Frere Jacques” popped into my mind! the sky is a lovely background for the roughness and darkness of the bell in its tower.

  9. Beautiful, atmospheric upward perspective of the bell! As if gazing into an inner sanctuary!

  10. I like this shot a lot. The staunchness of this lovely bell is wonderful!

  11. Stilig og tøft bilde:))

  12. Another great sky shot. Love the bell with the blue skies as background.

  13. What a wonderful capture!! Lovely skies and the bell is perfect! Have a great weekend!

  14. You know, you have a way with words and a camera.

  15. Awesome shot and words! The bell looks very impressive.
    Love it!

  16. Bell impressed me! It reminds me to meditate.
