  1. Beautiful skies and a terrific capture for the day with words to match!! Have a great weekend!

  2. Are fireflies attracted to light like moths? That’s an awesome image in your haiku. I didn’t that about them.

  3. Nice…I really like the weary pilgrims dreaming of shade…

  4. What chivalrous fireflies 🙂

  5. That is kinda like life, just take one step at a time. Don’t let yourself get fenced in.

  6. I love fireflies…so much fun to watch n catch. Nice shot

  7. Every little bit helps when you are dreaming of shade! (I’m shamelessly stealing ‘cloak’ and saving it for future use!)

  8. Nice shot I love fireflies too. They just started coming out here this month.

  9. Nicely framed shot!
I too liked ‘cloak their lights’

  10. I wilted a little bit under the hot sun of your evocative poetry, please thank those very polite fireflies for me.

  11. Thank goodness for the railings to get there when your tired and need shade!

  12. Great sky shot and awesome haiku ~ !

Am back from my journey ~ hope to get to haiku soon too.

  13. The white fence makes a beautiful, stark diagonal. Nice composition, and an evocative Haiku.

  14. very subtle

  15. No. But it made me think.
    Fireflies cloaking their lights
to not spoil the pilgrims’ shade.

in such small courtesies we find our comfort

  16. Certainly weary pilgrims climbing up those exposed concrete steps. Usefulbut so lacking in love and beauty.

  17. Wonderful picture. I like all the straight lines and the one tree standing out against the sky.

  18. I lie the imaginary in your words…weary pilgrims waling, with fire flies drawn to their lights…very nice.

    Thank you

  19. The fire flies are out tonight after a heavy storm. I think we’re all on a private pilgrimage–or at least a journey.

  20. Great imagery !!! Their lights do refresh tired souls.

  21. No fireflies tonite…can’t see ’em thru the fog !
I do enjoy your take on fireflies ☺

  22. Beautiful….fireflies cloak their nights…love that!

  23. The weary pilgrims will be awestruck as night falls and the glitterati arrive!! It should surely make up for the tiring day.
