The old saguaro—
in another life perhaps
it was a lotus.

Sometimes paradise
is an ancient saguaro
on the homeward way.

  2. I see the word, ‘Lotus’. Then I scroll further and see the image, ‘cactus’. Anticipation builds wondering what words will tie these two together. And you did so, very poetically!
