  1. she is beautiful; have a blessed Monday

    much love…

  2. This is a superb take, MMT. I’m impressed 🙂

  3. Thanks for joining in to Blue Monday.

  4. Wow… there are no words.

  5. {{ “” when the night is cloudy
    there is still a light that shines on me “” }}

  6. What beautiful, soft colors, and a very special gravemarker indeed.

  7. Your haiku for Mary feel sacred…as do many of your haiku. This one especially. Am waiting for the Mornings with Mary link to go up.

  8. A very caring and touching sight.

  9. I like this unusual cross and grave marker! this person must have been devoted to Mary.

When I took the photo, I noticed there was a little solar lamp on top of Mary’s head, so she can glow in the dark!

  10. I didn’t catch that solar lamp until I saw your comment. I just love the unusual Mary on Felix’s grave in Arizona. I always know when I visit that I’ll be enchanted with what you decide to share. And always the insightful haiku to accompany your photos.

  11. I love this picture. I used to collect pictures of the Madonna and child but I have no room for them now. It is a joy to see those you post. Thank you. What is Blue Monday etc…?

Blue Monday, Ruby Tuesday 2, Monday Mellow Yellows—these are memes devoted to showcasing photos that show a particular color. You’re welcome to click on my links and see!

  12. Awesome headstone. Felix must have been much loved, and obviously still is.

  13. A beautiful but sad image. I played too. Mine are here and here.

  14. She was the last one I could come to. A strong rejection of feminism and her being wrongly misused by some for such… and as I came ‘home’, learning to pray without worshiping the particular saint, even the greatest among them. She has ministered these things to me. No longer is Lilith my mother, nor even Eve. I’m even, clumsily, slowly, working on the rosary, finally.

    You present a fine tribute.

  15. This is beautiful! The memories of the departed are real the loss palpable. There is a holy person who feels our pain and sorrow, that we are not alone in our grief. Our hurt will someday be gone as we meet the departed again. A very thoughtful post…

  16. It seems that Marianology is alive and well in Mexico

  17. yes, there is healing in tears…ours…and Mary’s.

  18. I would love to see the glow in dark image.this week we seem to share a common and maybe not so common theme of tears.

  19. Banishing all sorrows, she speaks in the stillness, to hush my mind and heart!!

  20. Quiet a modern Madonna !

  21. Great combination of photo and haiku 🙂

  22. Beautiful art. I like the direction you took with this.

  23. And that’s how we live 🙂
