  1. hahah, this is a cool shot!!! 🙂

  2. Great looking plant

  3. Tantalizing short and poem.

  4. Teeny and tiny, the newborn and yet unripened fruit is amazing – the fruit soon to be full of vitamins, minerals and flavor. Yet we can barely imagine it at birth. Lovely!

  5. What a fun, wonderful capture for the day!! Reminds me of my visit to Puerto Vallarta some years ago!! Thanks for the memories!! Have a great weekend!

  6. Oh! This makes me homesick! I grew up with this-there is nothing like fresh bananas. They have a wonderful flavor that you never get from store bought. At home on Molokai, there would be about one or two banana stands on the drive out to the furthest point of the island that made stopping worthwhile!
If you are in PV right now or plan to go back, be sure to check out Hacienda Mosaico-an artist retreat B&B. So sweet!

  7. what a delightful, fun shot MMT. so cool!!

  8. A beautiful plant – reminds me of my time in Mexico

  9. Interesting photo! Never knew what a banana started out looking like~

    love the Haiku

  10. Awesome photo … and a nicely composed haiku MMT.

  11. I have never seen banana growth at this stage before. I had no idea a flower was attached. Stunning photo.

  12. Do you have the ‘make those bodies sing’ banana advert over there too?

    Under Banana

  13. amazing how a haiku and a photo sparks my curiosity enough to find out about banana trees! I found out about them here: http://homeguides.sfgate.com/cut-flower-banana-plant-55800.html

  14. What a fun shot! Bananas are so weird, aren’t they.

  15. Wonderful haiku.. love that imagery..
