If Samson goes blind,
can the clouds still comfort him
with their fiery blaze?

  1. we had an amazing sunrise this morning…the clouds were def on fire…
i wonder if the blind actually get that same red sensation…
i know the sun on the face would be a comfort…

  2. That reminds me of an elderly woman who had gone blind, who said, sitting out in the sun, how she was enjoying the sun on her face and the song of the birds…… worst fear is not being able to see sunsets………LOVE that photo.

I share your fear. I would MUCH rather lose my hearing than my sight! (I would prefer, of course, to keep both.)

  3. Great interpretation of the feeling that all is well and keeps going, regardless of whether we see it or not. Very good.

  4. Thought-provoking!

  5. That is quite a question to ponder!

  6. Beautiful, flaming skies and a terrific capture for the day — regardless of the answer!! Thanks for sharing the beauty! Hope you have a great weekend!! Enjoy!

  7. Perhaps, as Wordsworth suggests in his poem about the daffodils, the memory of the clouds might be a comfort……or a fine poet’s description!! 🙂

  8. Such beautiful purpley orangey skies. I’d hate to be blind and miss that.

  9. Awesome sky that I wish often to see.

  10. Beautiful photo!
    Greetings, RW & SK

  11. What fiery sky! Love the colors!

    Happy Weekend!!

  12. Happy Halloween…..follow the fiery red sky…JM Illinois, U.S.A.

  13. He would only have the memories of sunsets past to comfort him. Enjoy them while we can for we know not what tomorrow brings.

  14. Gorgeous sky shot with magnificent colors for SWF ~ thanks, carol, xx
    great haiku too ^_^

  15. I choose to think he would because other senses accompany sunset (or any time, for that matter) could kindle that same feeling. magnificent sky view!

  16. Looks like a blaze above the palms!

    • magicalmysticalteacher

Yes, it does! It was one of those magical moments when everything came together at the right time: clouds, light, camera—and I! 😉

  17. I imagine he could still feel the vibrancy somehow.

Please consider yourself officially invited to participate this year’s 5th Annual Gratitude (word) Quilt. Instructions (it is very simple) and a link that explains the origin of the word quilt can be found at the top of my blog. In past years there have been participants from every continent except Antarctica. I hope you’ll join us:-)

  18. profound; have a nice Tuesday

    much love…

  19. I like the simplicity of this. The message makes me think about what else besides sight is there to be sensed in sunrise or sunset.

  20. So love the enigmatic question inspired by these lovely sky colours.
