In lands of no grass,
where do the quail take cover?
Where do beetles hide?

  1. Great image and I guess he hides in his hard little body

  2. good point….but Nature has her own way to make them survive….

  3. Always an interesting haiku to be found on your blog. Mickie 🙂

  4. quail in the cookpot
maybe not best place to hide
    beetles in plain sight

  5. I care little that the beetle can hide, but quail? I want them to be able to hide. So where do they hide on the desert? When we lived in the country, quail hid in the prickly shrubs that lined on both sides of the 1/2 mile road leading to our home, as did the rabbits.

  6. Natural curiosity well depicted.
