More Carpe Diem: “Photographing”

  1. A difficult subject? Looks like an independent lady who will only smile when she wants to!

  2. This post made ME smile…

  3. LOL They can be stubborn 😀

  4. A difficult task I can see!

  5. Makes me laugh. We all have our artistic challenges 😉

  6. I have many a family photo where the ‘subject’ will deny the camera a glimpse of happy self.

Perhaps it goes back to that old fear that the ‘camera’ would or could capture a part of ones soul? There are still peoples today who religiously (for lack of a better word) ‘fear’ the photographer. It goes back to that ‘graven image’ line in biblical verse.

(I am a tad behind on my ‘B’ visits) I do always appreciate yours. Have a wonderful day~ Jules

Having lived in Lancaster County at one time, I know well the prohibition about “graven images”!

      • Yes, that is exactly what I was referring too – as I do live in Lancaster County! 🙂 There are other Amish groups in Indiana too.
Other states but PA and IN I think have the largest communities.
