    There is a different kind of beauty, and peace one gathers from a location like this. My most relaxing vacations was visiting my grandfather on his ranch, in the Arizona desert! Once you see one sunset, you are hooked for life!

    Ditto-they do! We have ironwoods that grow in Hawaii-but they don’t look like this! They have ‘leaves’ or needles all over them. Unless, this one is long gone…

    Bank Holiday has brought its customary showers over here. Plenty of other things to smile about though. 🙂

    The tree is impervious to the heat – however the old travelers could not count on the leafless tree to provide an oasis for their traveling travails…

    In your desert photos, here is always a feeling of old worlds quite separate from our sense of civilised beauty. There is a feeling of escape from the bustle of modern madness. This photo is enchanting.

    It was a hundred degrees here today and it does make me feel dry and thirsty! Ha! I think I need a cool drink of water after seeing the desert pictures!
