As shadows lengthen,
ants snuggle down for the night,
their mother the sand.
~~ ~~ ~~
Shadows lengthen as the day ends.

    Gorgeous photo! My favorite time of day when in AZ is when the sun goes down. The sunset colors are different every night and make everything look magical.

    The southerly autumnal sun allows for long and luxurious shadows. Where the desert can be unforgiving in the hot summer, now it looks much cooler and very inviting!

      It is MUCH cooler now, Ralph, than even three weeks ago. Today’s high is expected to be 80—which feels downright frigid after 112!
