  1. A desert landscape can hit me like that (melancholy, arid..) but then again sometimes I see the beauty there … you just have to look a lot harder to see it though. I know you already are aware of that; ;I’ve seen your beautiful desert posts!

  2. There is one place that would affect my melancholia than the desert- where six months there is 24 hours of darkness. Luckily, I don’t live there. I agree with Sallie, you have shown us so much beauty in the desert, but this spot certainly fits with your haiku.
