  1. Everything (finally) pretty greened up here in Vermont, teacherman. Minor setback: frost / freeze warning Thursday night. Fortunately, no major problem, though.

  2. Another lovely photo. I love the colours in it.

  3. Very lovely. We got a glimpse of the near and the far. Have a nice weekend

    Much love…

  4. Is this a Century Plant? Great photo! Have a lovely weekend!

  5. Blossom are good, until the sun gets too hot.

Look closely at the mountain to the right. You’ll see a streak of shadow…

  7. The flowers are softer and less severe than the pointy agave leaves – just looks and feel nicer!

  8. Very pretty! My aloes are blooming now!

  9. Very pretty. My first visit here. I have my shadows up also on my page.

  10. Your photo is equisite…blossoms here too finally:) I can’t get over how the leaves seem to grow over night but we still have several late bloomers…I enjoy these late ones because I know they’ll be around until the first snow.

  11. Beautiful, love the colours 🙂

Stopping by from Shadow shot Sunday..

  12. A wonderful haiku MMT and your photo is gorgeous.

  13. Wonderful misty blue hue behind the rich gold of the flowers.

  14. Paula Scott Molokai Girl Studio

Beautiful contrast of the agave bloom against the blue mountains!

  15. Love the composition of your shot!

  16. Beautiful poem and photo!

  17. Very artfully arranged!

  18. Snakypoet (Rosemary Nissen-Wade)

    Beautifully said!

  19. I like the contrast between the close-up and the mountains in the background.

  20. magicalmystisticalteacher (& forest tinker): you’re probably right. sorry. but then, i don’t think i’m getting this haiku thing right, anyway.

  21. Such a perfect haiku description of the desert in bloom!

  22. I sniffed one of those once and it made me sneeze! Just thought I’d mention it. Oh- great post MMT!

  23. Interesting blossoms! I have never seen them in person!

  24. Wonderful!!! Loved both Haiku and photograph!!

  25. Stunning indeed! I didn’t know agaves got flowers like that. Such a vivid photo, full of contrasts, and nicely complemented by the haiku. Skin? Are those mountains alive?
