Weathered door, San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, México

from under the door
a harp’s labored strains leaking
onto the sidewalk
~~ ~~ ~~
haphazard music
sounding behind the closed door—
tuba, harp and drums
~~ ~~ ~~
noxious vapors flee
at the sound of harp and lyre—
the old door trembles
