Pierced
Pine tree, Japanese Friendship Garden, Phoenix, Arizona
hidden from all eyes
one snowflake pierced by needles
of the ancient pine

Imagine snow nestling among the needles.

I love this photo. I’m also imagining a Japanese garden in the middle of Arizona, but to throw the idea of snow on top of
that is almost sinful. (But I get what you’re saying) You take such lovely images, MMT.
I will be checking this place out on my next visit. Looks very interesting.
It is so nice to see an evergreen in the hot desert, the green needles adding a hint of cooling to a very hot land. Imagine a pine covered in snow in th Valley of the Sun…
It’s pretty hard to imagine, isn’t it? 😉

That tree has a fantastic shape.
Such a shapely tree. So much character in those branches.
I too like the shape of the branches!
Fantastic
Beautiful photo and what an interesting take on the prompt … I’d never have imagined a pierced snowflake!
That’s what happens when you write to a prompt: Strange and wondrous images appear out of nowhere! 😉

Japanese gardens are always a place that one wants to just stay and never leave. Beautiful!
