  1. This is absolutely perfect. It could not be said any better. A stone in the soul, or gems buffed by suffering. Wow!

  2. Nice one

    Have a good Wednesday

    Much love…

  3. Excellent statement of truth with full use of sensory and figurative language. Bravo!

  4. Whew! Point well made. Message gotten across. Full stop! Sigh, and sigh again.

  5. I think that suffering is an important part of our life.
We can get stuck like those stones and have to carry them around,
or let the suffering buff our facets, that is for sure.

  6. Snakypoet (Rosemary Nissen-Wade)

Oooh – that nails it all right! 🙂

  7. Now that is a difficult choice…maybe we all carry a stone in our soul.. Like sand gathering into formations as we age and grow…make mistakes..try and fix them…hopefully we can always fine some shininess however!

  8. A very well written poem. I like the choice offered.

  9. Loved this one, but couldn’t resist rephrasing to ‘germs buffered for suffering’ ~ still sick, sorry.

  10. We value nothing if all we want comes easily, the harder we work for something the more valuable it becomes.

  11. Fear there are too many stones instead of gems for some people these days. Wonderfully stated.
