Yosa Buson’s haiku about a broom and a beach inspires me to write a new haiku:

The short night—
a broom thrown away
on the beach.

~~ ~~ ~~

a tree for her broom
old woman sweeping the beach
just before nightfall

~~ ~~ ~~

Imagine a broom tidying the beach.

  7. I could certainly imaging a magical broom sweeping the beach. Your haiku is wonderful and goes so beautifully with your pictures. Nice contribution.

  16. And there she stands sweeping the beach.
