Prayer in Time of Drought

Lord, the little plants need water.
Send Your healing rain.
Let the sound of its falling
refresh my weary soul
as I walk barefoot through the garden,
damp earth beneath my feet,
thinking of all Your marvelous ways—
how You never force Yourself upon me,
but like light that warms or blinds,
You come to me each day,
inviting me to choose,
and in this time of drought
I choose blindness.
Dazzle me with Your presence
in each drop of rain.

  2. this is my prayer too…

  3. Wow I really loved this prayer….we sometimes take the everyday things for granted until they are not there. I try to remember that even now as the cold winds howl on this May day.

  4. Beautiful prayer of hope ❤

  5. I think drought is something that is spreading… I hope for rain, but I guess I pray for it Alberta first… they need it so much right now.

  6. This change of form is perfectly gathered together like rose matter who or what we believe in walking barefoot and hoping and feeling for rain is one of those moments that mean ‘more’

  7. A beautiful and timely prayer….it is scary our drought and fire season is starting so early this year……….

  8. Amen to that. What a delightful prayer. I hope he’s reading your words.
