Blue Monday: Door

 photo IMG_5538_zpshvcwjshy.jpg
Door on an abandoned building, Ajo, Arizona

Behind the old battered blue door
There’s emptiness, and nothing more.
Not even a mouse,
A cricket or louse
Is hiding behind the blue door.

XOXO Daniela at – My little old world – (Dany)

  3. A little touch of paint helped, but still could use some care. You find the best of sights to share.

  4. That is nice finding.

  5. A lovely blue door, but I am sure there is something behind that door, even if it is silence.

  6. Such a poignant write!

  7. It’s heart-wrenching to think of all the emptiness behind the blue door.

  8. But there must be spiders!!!!

  9. I think there is something… whenever somebody says there’s nothing there I know there is something worth hiding.

  10. Well, therein lies the difference between thee and me! I’d be waxing lyrical about the hosts of ghosts and stories to be told behind the blue door! I love the photo … and your words!

  11. That’s what I like about brevity in poetry, you can convey so much in such few words. There once was something there, now forgotten.

  12. OK… Then I ain’t scared… you go first 🙂

  13. Whew, it would really be eerie (and a bit chilling) to open a door expectantly and find, behind it, absolutely nothing.

  14. It must be lonely to be that blue door, so forgotten. But really? not even a mouse?

  15. Love that door..never mind what isn’t behind it!!

  16. Rosemary Nissen-Wade

Intriguing image, enhanced by the words.

  17. What a great eye you have to illustrate your words Magical.

  18. There is a louse behind that door. I just know it:)

  19. Ah. But, I do believe, behind that very same blue, is Mexico City, is a Frida Kahlo shrine … Thank you for this beautiful image.

  20. It’s so pretty to be hiding nothing!
