Rose of Wisdom

A gnarled tree beside a path at Willow Lake, Prescott, Arizona

By the lake a pathway leads
Through the dry and tangled weeds
To a place where no one goes
But the ones who seek The Rose.
Holy, holy is the day!
Holy, holy is the way!

Rose of wisdom, fair and pure,
May your root and branch endure
In the hearts that hold you fast—
There, O Rose, bloom forth at last.
Holy, holy is the day!
Holy, holy is the way!
