The cactuses will thank you

The cactuses will thank you,
The sage will do the same,
If you promise not to smoke,
Or threaten them with flame.
For even though their needles
Could clearly run you through,
Cacti can’t survive a fire,
And neither, friend, can you!

  1. Truth was never more beautifully rhymed. This should be on a billboard or two along the road–a little blocking of the view before it opens in all its glory.

  2. A lyrical no smoking message! Nice!

  3. This is clever! I love it.

  4. Nice way of getting a message across…bkm

  5. It is true!!! Fire in the desert, takes so long to heal if it ever does.

  6. Lovely lyrical no smoking poem!❤️

  7. hypercryptical

    Anna :o]

  8. However in Australia the Eucalypts (Gum trees) can survive a fire and grow back within months! Neverthe less your poem is a delight.

  9. Run as fast as you can from that fire!

  10. Very cleverly written

  11. Khaya Ronkainen

True that, we shouldn’t play with fire!
