  1. It looks the way I feel some mornings!
Seriously though, it’s a great image. Happy Saturday!

  2. Don’t know for sure, but I kept hearing “tick tick tick tick…” for ages just before it happened.

  3. Another story in a single sentence.. made me think

  4. I’d say a rare lightning bolt in the desert did the trick – unless 100 woodpeckers worked in unison to break the limb. It could be anything ithat did the job while we imagine the scenario that altered that big tree…

  5. Paula Scott Molokai Girl Studio

All I can say is, ‘whoa! That’s gnarly!’

  6. It heard about the withdawal of the US from the climate treaty!

  7. I agree with oldegg. I am doing what I can to protect the environment. Electricity is from wind energy by contract, drive a hybrid, have a worm farm for composting in a small space, use the shredded paper as part of the ‘brown’ needed in worm farm and recycle as much else as possible. I fear that is not enough.

These are excellent steps! But we need world leaders to take climate change seriously. Unfortunately, our current U.S. leader takes very little seriously.

      • I so agree about our current leaders. North America uses almost as much energy as all of South America, Africa, the Middle East and Russia combined. Our per capita CO2 emissions are second only to Saudi Arabia. Our total country’s total CO2 emissions are exceeded only by China. And yet we are less than 5% of the world population. I remember being taught at one point that one leads by example. I am praying no more follow the example of our leaders.

I’ll certainly join you in that prayer!
