Tell everyone

Tell everyone
how the whole
works better
than a part.
on the right hook
for your story
(keep it short,
keep it sharp)
and you’ll catch
what you wish,
not fish
but people
with an appetite
for truth—
they’ll spot it
on your hook
and take the bait.

  1. True. Love the fish-hook-bait-catch image.

  2. What Sumana said, true, true!

  3. Oh I had a feeling that today it’s not the truth that’s the best hook but click-bait-lies. I wish we could do the same better with truth

Surely there are some who still hunger for truth?

  4. I find that all too often people prefer to avoid difficult truths. That said this is a great write.

  5. I hunger for truth, for certain………but it is hard to know who is telling it any more, lol. Great write!

  6. Then, they will read on… And the one’s with brains not yet rotten by the world will feast in the banquet that truth offers. The rest? They will probably starve–you can write truth into the river, but none can make the herd sip and digest.

  7. Good advice! A reader has to be hooked at the beginning in order to be inspired to continue. If I don’t get into a book in the first few pages, I won’t continue to read.

  8. I love … keep it short, keep it sharp!!

  9. Brief and succinct. Absolutely perfect!

  10. Yes truth is the best bait and hook!

  11. I really like this on two different levels. Having been a fishing person from early on, I loved the metaphor and where you took it. Secondly, as a writer and seeker of truth, I agree and hope with you,

  12. To write the truth is one thing, and then to expect people to want to read my writing, is quite another! But we keep trying!

  13. not fish
    but people
    with an appetite
    for truth—
    they’ll spot it
    on your hook
    and take the bait.

    Love that Great wisdom here

  14. .I don’t think many have an appetite for truth..Truth has a habit of being unpalatable. Everything has to be easy and feel good now. Good use of the words.

  15. Many seek truth but little seems to be had for the money comes for the selling of bad.
